3517 Union Hill Rd. East Bend, N.C. 27018 www.neetribe.org Many Years ago it was written that all men are created equal and shall have the right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. There are many examples where this was not true. It was also written that we have the right to Worship as we see fit without interference of the Government or State. Again this was not true. We could all site issues to prove that. Our mission is not to fight with this issue, but to help bring forth a better understanding of Native American People. We can not change what History says, for it was written by the white man to suit his needs and does not address issues that we know are at best are not correct. We can speak of Wounded Knee, and of Custer and of many other issues that were done to us as a people. Not forgetting the trail where they Cried and when we finish speaking of this what has been gained? Nothing, it is past, and that is very sad, but none the less, past. It is not good for us to forget this but we need to use this as a building stone for the future or our brothers and sisters will have died in vain and our noble people will no longer exist, but will become history to told by who ever want to tell it and as they see fit to tell it . And that would be even sadder. I am sorry but I can not accept that possibility. Time has come for us to Unite, to help accomplish a better future for our People and Native Americans in general. Only you can help make the difference. Your tribal association makes no difference, your desire and support do. I am sorry for the long letter but this needed to be said. Now where are we as a tribe today. On February 6th 2004 our paperwork was submitted to the Secretary of State for status as a Non Profit Tribe, we also received our EIN number with in a few days of that. We are a Non profit tribe, we created under the ideas of Religious, Charitable and Educational Tribe. So how are we accomplishing these goals as of today. I am pleased to share what we feel will please you. But bear in mind this takes financial support to keep the tribe up and running as well as progressing. What has Nuluti Equani Ehi Tribe Done at this so far: The following Societies are functioning or will be as soon as People and Funding are available: Volunteer Outreach Services Tribal Web site www.neetribe.org Emergency Loan Society Crafts and Pow Wow Society Corporate Support & Funding Society Student Loan Society Veterans Assistant Program Historical Preservation Society Emergency Grant Society Talking Feather Society Wolf Creek Support Society There are programs being developed for future activation. All projects have been funded though tribal donations and membership contributions. We need your help in work time, financial assistance and recruiting of prospective members.
